Pros
This is a private company that one would think would not be held to the public sector pressures of "short term profitability above all else". However, it is very much an MBA culture of management, measuring and marketing with zero investment in research.
Kontras
Entrust Datacard is made up of a very tight-knit group of long-term employees. Here, old ideas stay around after they're useful, and new ideas too often don't get a fair hearing. Small, tight-knit groups have consolidated their power over time and utilized the hiring process to hire duplicates of themselves rather than hiring people for what they know and might create. There are too many high-paid, make-work positions and every other employee seems to hold a vice president or director title. The company’s authoritarian management style isn’t conducive to a creative environment.
