Pros

The original management fostered a supportive, empowering environment focused on becoming a true leader in the industry with the potential for a great product. That early culture showed what Elixir could be when leadership alignment and employee trust exist. Unfortunately, all those leaders were pushed out or left.

- Complete Breakdown of Culture & Leadership: The culture dramatically shifted from supportive and strategic to reactive and hostile. Success and job security were dependent on who didn’t question the CEO, Tarek, and who was willing to follow directives blindly. When leadership has no business acumen, there can be no growth, success, or retention of quality employees. Psychological safety does not exist. - No Training, No Enablement, No Real Support: There was no formal or informal training. Expectations were built entirely on tribal knowledge, yet we were reprimanded for not magically knowing who held that knowledge or how the systems worked, even though those systems were poorly implemented to begin with. - Whiplash Priorities: Leadership frequently changed course on strategy based on impulse or the “idea of the week.” Messaging, case studies, ICPs, and buyer personas were never finished before being discarded. There was no willingness to let a strategy mature long enough to measure real results. Everything was expected to turn on a dime. - Layoffs With No Plan or Accountability: Layoffs became increasingly common, including the baffling decision to eliminate the entire CS team, a red flag in industries where customer relationships are the foundation of success. No transition plans, no training, no reassignment of responsibilities. Employees were expected to absorb new roles only after customers began questioning the sudden drop in communication. Every round of cuts left critical work unassigned, fueling burnout, confusion, and deeper instability within an already fragile organization.

Pros

I absolutely love the people I work with. Everyone is collaborative, supportive, and willing to help. They welcome and are supportive of role changes. They’ve really hired the best of the best within every department - everyone is just really impressive. I’ve learned so much from the people at Elixir, and I am a big fan of growth in that regard. Work life balance is great, especially if you have kiddos. Leadership is extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. I’m unsure why Tarek gets hate on here? He’s a very involved CEO. When most aren’t. He’s insanely smart, helpful, approachable and cares about the company. It’s a part of who he is. I’ve enjoyed working with him, personally.

The current compensation plan makes it a bit tough to make your OTE. Lots of boxes need to be checked for you to make max comp on a deal, and some of them are out of the reps control. But if you can close perfect deals that check every box, then you’ll make a ton of money!!

Pros

Good example of the work culture you do not want to be around. There are some very good and caring individuals, and it paid the bills while it lasted.

The "training" was almost non existent. Relying on all of the previous experience to attempt to piece together what MIGHT work. Got moved into a new role with no training, no coaching, no increased compensation, manager was let go. And when I didn't do the things I had no idea needed to be done or how to do them, I was chastised for not having asked for help. Leadership expected priorities to turn on a dime whenever the wind of thoughts changed. Messaging, case studies, buyer personas, were never fully baked out. The product needed extensive training to be able to use, let alone to use effectively. The vision of having a user intuitive UI that does not require technical knowledge is all well and good, but not yet executed to any legitimate degree. There is a reason that other CCM platforms are recommended and Elixir seems to be struggling to keep the doors open. Layoffs became frequent, and worse - no real plan for how the responsibilities of those let go were going to be handled. Just the icing on top of the cake of all the other problems.
