Pros

Ecosystem stands out for its unique combination of technical excellence, entrepreneurial culture, and mission-driven work. The company gives employees real ownership over projects and encourages creative problem solving, especially in complex decarbonization and energy infrastructure challenges. Leadership is thoughtful and accessible, and there is a strong emphasis on collaboration across disciplines (engineering, finance, development). The work is meaningful, with tangible climate and financial impact for clients. There is also significant opportunity for growth if you are proactive and willing to take initiative.

Kontras

Like any growing company in an emerging space, things can move quickly, which requires adaptability. For many, this is part of what makes the work exciting and rewarding.

Pros

What has always stood out most to me is that Ecosystem's company culture actually matches the values it promotes. There is a strong emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and accountability, and it is clear that those values are shared by everyone who works here. I’m constantly learning from the people around me, and there’s a strong sense of ambition across the organization. Leadership is engaged and open to feedback, which makes it easier to feel connected to the direction of the company. I’ve also appreciated how supportive the environment is when it comes to experimenting with new ideas and investing in employee growth.

Kontras

The environment requires a high degree of ownership and self-direction. Management is relatively non-hierarchical compared to more traditional companies, so there’s an expectation that you proactively ask for help, learn from mistakes, and figure things out as you go. That can be a great fit for people who like autonomy, but it may take adjustment if you’re coming from a more structured environment. There’s also an expectation that employees step outside their comfort zones and contribute wherever needed, which means complacency is not really an option. Also, the people are unfortunately too enjoyable to spend time with, which may lead your friends and family to question why you voluntarily attend so many work-related social events.
