Beautiful office, good access to deep analysis and policymakers

No chance of hiring after internship, little access to senior management

Pretty good pay and an easy job. Great flexibility for school/graduate programs and good remote work schedule.

Very boring, like watching paint dry. Interns are almost never included in meetings and are given very little work. We spent a lot of time twiddling thumbs and felt very out of the loop. There is also a very cliquish culture among some of the junior staffers and makes the interns feel very isolated.
