Pros
- Easy enough job to do. - Always something to do to keep busy. - Interesting products come in once in awhile for a good deal.
Kontras
- Stores are run on a minimal staff level. Always something to do to keep busy = you're one of the only people doing a million things. and can never keep up. - Corporate decisions do not always make sense when it comes down to the store level. - If you're a Sales Associate, you'll be on register a lot, usually by yourself, with a line of people and customers wanting stuff bagged in certain ways or having to take big balloon orders. - Managers seem to be on break a lot more than they are working. - District managers seem to like to spy on the employees in the store a lot with the cameras. - Managers who are scheduled to open don't always show up. It's then my job as a sales associate to call all the managers I have phone numbers for and see who I can wake up to get the store to open. Then having to explain to every customer waiting outside why the store isn't open when it should be. Then, I'm ruining some other managers day because instead of enjoying their day off, they have to come in and work for some other negligent manager's decisions to decide to party all night. - Need manager code for nearly everything on the registers. Item void because a customer changes their mind or can't afford many things? Corporate thinks you're stealing. Customer return? Needs manager code. Quantity of over 22 items? Needs a manager code. Need a reprinted receipt? Needs a manager code.
