Pros
Docker has shown me how an iconic company with an innovative founding product can be destroyed by terrible leadership, a lack of decision making, bad product decisions, not listening to customers, nepotism, and culture of fear. When I start my company, I won't make these mistakes, so I thank Docker for that.
Kontras
In the last 12-months, there has been more firing and hiring than I have ever seen. There is so much turnover that nobody knows what they're doing. Managers are always changing. Some projects have too many cooks in the kitchen and infighting. Other projects are abandoned. The one product that was supposed to make money failed to attract customers and is now available for free. There isn't any new products on the horizon to generate revenue. The CEO is an apparition. There have been three All Hands meetings in the last year and he doesn't want to be in them. There's no transparency and a deeply embedded culture of fear. There isn't a word to describe the soul sucking environment and low morale.
