- Most individuals served and their families are awesome to work with and it is rewarding work - Flexible Schedule: Made it easy to work around appointments

- Most of the systems you will use in this role are dysfunctional or do not work, This includes state systems and internal DP ones that duplicate our work. - With the above obstacle you are still expected to meet their pointless metrics that focus on revenue generation instead of actual person-centered case management. - Disorganisation and frequent restructuring of roles: This resulted in CM's taking on more responsibilities and increased caseload beyond the 65 cap frequently. - Aggressive union-busting: DP ran an aggressive and successful union-busting campaign. The messaging felt more intimidating than just informative due to how it was framed by leadership in the town halls. Matt stated that if employees can't handle the working conditions then this is not the right role for us and we should find a more suitable role- this was not an encouraging statement so I took his advice and left,

We’re sorry to hear that your experience included challenges, and we recognize the frustrations that can arise from dealing with state systems and complicated compliance parameters. While state systems are beyond our control, we are continuously working to refine (and optimize) our company’s internal systems to better support employees and reduce inefficiencies. Balancing workloads is an ongoing priority in the long-term care system, and we are actively exploring strategies with state partners to create administrative relief for our teams. 4 day work week Generous PTO Family Friendly Remote work options Competent and responsive leadership This is my 3rd time working with DP. It is experiencing many organizational changes but I appreciate that the leadership team remains calm and collected even under immense change, chaos, and stress. Many of the stressors are attributed to state influence. I can’t imagine a better place to work after spending multiple years in a very toxic and dangerous work environment. This organization likes to highlight all the good work they do for individuals with disabilities but the leadership truly changes lives for employees as well. If you surround yourself with the people that want to improve and focus on the positive you will love working here.

Kontras

There are not many cons to working here. You might not get paid as much as you would like but there are a lot of opportunities to advance. There are disgruntled employees like in every work place and it can be very toxic when they are given a platform to share (complain). Be prepared to experience changes and build resiliency. If you are able to adapt and view challenges as learning opportunities then you will do well.
