Pros

Autonomy and good peers, flexible work hours

Kontras

Layoffs, no job security. People have lack of clarity, no managers to align the work, most of the engineers are working on things which will drive zero business value, no one is there to align them. People creating unnecessary work and spending quarters on them.

Pros

The vision and the set of people who did the initial planning and built the base was solid. Some really talented folks.

Kontras

No proper execution, really poor coding practices due to just hiring juniors, no mentorship scope because there are no seniors to mentor, no respect / appreciation for people doing good work (they get frustrated and leave the company)
