Flexibility Pay NO micromanagement small-company feel company car and all equipment provided

-occasionally, it seems management decisions are changed before the original decision even gets implemented. -not enough 'calibration' with the field staff. That is, with how spread out everyone is, it seems everybody does their job differently and by a different set of standards -slow/small IT department. If something breaks, it can be a pain to get it fixed fast.

Pros

Good communication with management. Most of staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Good perks - company car, etc. Work from home. Large territory that was easily handled. Rapid respond to questions and concerns. As long as work was done and done well, management left you alone.

Kontras

Large percentage of the company got laid off a year after the company was purchased by another large brokerage company. Underwriting by QBE tightened guidelines so much that new business was rare and the entire loss control division along with other major parts of the company was laid off with no notice. All in all the company had been good to work with.
