Pros
- Decent work/life balance. Depends somewhat on your team/manager, but I'd say generally that PTO, weekends and taking time for personal or family needs is respected. I also really appreciate the flexibility of being remote.
- Experienced leaders who have been in healthcare and/or tech for a while
- Good career growth oppties; my manager will often find ways to put me on strategic projects that give me more visibility
- Recognition: leaders and HR are constantly trying to find ways to recognize people publicly, give shoutouts, etc.
Kontras
- There can sometimes be a culture of blindly executing "because leadership asked for it" rather than first asking why, what's the objective, best way to achieve it, etc.
- As with any company that has flexible PTO for salaried employees, this can actually lead to people taking LESS time off. I'd love to see a minimum encouraged amount of PTO, or other ways to normalize regularly taking time off
