If you like to be stripped of your sanity and soul and love to be treated like dirt then this is the place for you. CEO of the company will either like you or dislike you, most of the time dislike for absolutely no reason apart from you haven’t fed their ego to death. Will expect you to perform various roles that aren’t part of your job due to under staffing then complains that you’re doing that task even though you were told to venture outside your box... When there is any progression with the software (usually there is always a problem) but when you are stepping in the right direction the CEO does a U turn then will blame you and everyone involved - HUGE blame culture. Massively under resourced and will not invest in upgrading to actually make the products work and wonders why customers complain, don’t blame your staff their only trying to improve not take a step backwards. People are nice (when there not run into the ground, which is all the time) there is no recognition for hard work only recognition when you have done something wrong. No individuality whatsoever you all have to think the same ideas and question nothing and if you do not fit the bill then expect your p45. Have witnessed a lot of decent skilled people be sacked or walk from the company due to having different ideas to help the company improve, if it’s not the CEO’s idea don’t bother pitching in your two cents. Micromanages every aspect of what people do, to make matters worse, when the second lockdown took place, was against employees to work from home during the pandemic and wanted them to come in the office even though majority felt safer being home this was not taken into consideration and did not care about how the staff felt and their safety, eventually this was allowed to the amount of noise employees made, cares more about micromanaging then the safety of the employees. Underpaid and overworked, management need severe help, avoid at all costs if you want to be treated like a human being.

Pros

Employees are lovely people who care a lot about product and genuinely want to make positive changes. Are dynamic and will introduce continuous improvements to the processes.

Kontras

When I first started there was a positive culture that the orginal company owner and new COO had fostered. However a change in ownership has lead to a less positive culture and environment to work in with fewer benefits than before such as paid company lunches, yearly company summer meet up and remote interactive team activities for example at my time of leaving. Felt like a complete 180 in experience and finding that its quite an "old school" management style and not as progressive.

Pros

Remote Many of the people at the company were talented and dedicated, and their efforts played a significant role in getting the business to where it is today. Recognising and respecting these contributions would go a long way toward improving morale and retention.

Kontras

Micromanaging was very prevalent during my time at the company. The software is built on a very dated technology stack, with limited appetite from senior leadership to modernise it. Despite references to newer technologies, most of the platform relies on legacy systems, which can lead to stability and maintenance challenges. This also makes it difficult to justify the cost to clients and contributes to wider technical and operational issues. Investment in people and technology appeared limited. Key knowledge was concentrated among a small number of employees, and when some of them left, responsibilities were often absorbed by others... There was some confusion during the hiring process regarding compensation, as the verbally discussed salary differed from the figure stated in the contract. This was later explained as being due to the bonus being included in the verbally agreed salary. Which I've never seen before... Interesting... Unreasonable bonus targets that, in some cases, were unachievable, as they were reliant on factors outside of my control. Salary was low for my role. I ended up leaving the company for a role with less responsibilities but with much higher compensation. Client satisfaction seemed mixed, and client churn was noticeable during my tenure. There were also layoffs, including capable colleagues, which appeared to follow the loss of clients. The company is *very* remote - we only had one team get together in entire time I was at the company. Some people were unreachable for days at a time. There was internal discussion around the authenticity of some employer reviews, which made it harder to trust the overall Glassdoor rating...
