Pros

Steady growing company, great ESOP, good culture and events.

Kontras

Regardless of position jump, they seem to only offer a 10-15% increase in pay. For example, a Help Desk Technician paid 50k going to a Jr Systems Administrator role would only get a 5k-7.5k bump in pay, despite the market value being substantially higher. Their health benefits aren't very good, and to get the best value you have to share your health information with a third party company, who undoubtedly sells it for profit.

Pros

The People - They truly care about the business because we are all responsible co-owners. Benefits - D&H offers a wide range of benefits including an ESOP. Culture - Unbelievable D&H DNA which we all take pride in Employee Engagement/Career Path/Education Longevity - Who wouldn't want to work for a company that is over 108 years old. Top notch leadership!

Kontras

D&H has had some growing pains in the past; I have been here for 29 years. But what company hasn't if they are doing well. Their future is on point, and I look forward to seeing the company's continuation of growth.

Pros

Market average starting pay and benefits. Decent work/life balance if you don't mind never getting promoted.

Kontras

Toxic work culture. People are promoted based on their willingness to have no life outside of the company. If you want any kind of career advancement, you have to volunteer for weekend activities and stay late in the office even if there's no work to be done. People are not rewarded for just doing their job and working hard within a 40 hour work week. Nobody gets a raise based on solely performance. You can only make more money if you get promoted. And as previously mentioned, you're not getting promoted unless you devote your entire life to the company. Management will simultaneously brag about how much net profits are increasing every quarter and then tell you that there just isn't any money in the budget for raises this year. The ESOP is a joke unless you get promoted. There is no guaranteed total amount you're owed. Management decides how much goes in your ESOP and it will be peanuts unless they like you.
