There is no clear career development path for employees. There is no clear identification of high potential employees across the company and there is no assistance in helping someone determine a career path that is advantageous to them and to the company. If you are in the middle or upper groups, you may not know which you fall into. And there is very rarely clear direction about what an employee needs to improve to be ranked in the highest category. There needs to be more transparency in the process. The IT infrastructure is a mess. There are hundreds of disconnected and conflicting systems with which non-IT employees must deal. This means many menial, manual procedures that are work-arounds for the poor systems. A non-trivial portion of most employees work day is spent compensating for these deficiencies, whether you are in engineering, a manufacturing, logistics, or an admin assistant.
