Terrible benefits, especially medical. That is extremely funny considering their primary business is medical managed care. Each year the premium increases for the one & only plan offered (PPO) as do the in-network and out-of-network deductibles. Corvel has a self-insured medical plan and premiums are based on your health. There are three tiers of premiums; after your biometrics screening you will know how high your premium will be. Also, each year another way of acknowledging good employees is discontinued or made more difficult to obtain.

Pros

The team I am part of is excellent. Good people, good attitudes. We have the ability to work fully remote. Great bosses that understand what they are doing and work with us to get the job done.

Team culture is the most varied of any job I have worked at. Some of the teams are awful. Others are great. Pay is extremely below the industry average. The benefits are atrocious and not worth using. Below average PTO policy plus no sort of new parent leave. If you are planning on having a child while working here, go somewhere else. You are expected to use your vacation time then go without pay for the rest of it. Other comparable companies offer new parent leave, but not CorVel.
