Pros
Friendly teammates. The only reason most people stay as long as they do.
Kontras
- Work-life balance does not exist. Staying late feels mandatory because leaving on time earns you a bombastic side eye from everyone, including fellow TLs. If you value your personal life, good luck. - Career growth is a guesswork game. Advancement is uncertain and mostly depends on timing, luck, or who you know. - Seniority culture runs deep. Tenure is prioritized over skill, ideas, or actual competence. - Compensation is below industry standards. The salary is noticeably lower compared to top BPOs offering the same roles and responsibilities. - Favoritism is very real. The Operations Manager openly favors those close to him, and it shows in opportunities, exposure, and treatment. - Development is almost non existent. SPVs and OMs tend to only show up when something goes wrong, and the blame automatically falls on TLs. There’s a lot of finger pointing and very little actual leadership or solutions. - Mistakes are treated like crimes. Even the most human errors are blown out of proportion. Psychological safety? Nowhere to be found. - Zero teamwork among leaders. Collaboration doesn’t exist. You handle everything alone while leadership expects “teamwork” in theory only. - Time-off flexibility is inconsistent. TLs can’t request days off within the first 6 months, but agents are freely accommodated. Leadership is expected to sacrifice the most but is given the least.
