Pros
Ability to provide care to patients and therefore help real people is the business premise. This is appealing as I want to work for a company that isn't solely about making money, but also giving back to others.
Kontras
This is a very adversarial work environment. More politics and back stabbing than I've seen even at much larger companies. It is not team oriented. The company was sold at the end of May and their solution to fix some of the issues the company is having is to put all of the old leaders from the pre-Humana days, back in place. If they don't know you, good luck, as you'll likely be let go before they've even met you. It's definitely an old boys club at the top, and the company is a mess. Health insurance benefits are terrible.
