Pros
Because no one is REALLY held accountable for delivering value, you can try things out and be your own boss to some extent. The new CEO just might turn things around, but then again the same was said for the previous 4 or 5.
Kontras
Gee where do I start? Ok they're on the 4th CEO in 3 years - that probably says quite a bit. But, you should know that the people that have been in charge - talking the C-Suite here - haven't always been the best fit and haven't in many cases ever even done the job functions that they're managing. The CMO had never been in Marketing before being named CMO. The same person was made the CPO (chief product officer) and had never before been in product management (ie, in a true product mgt discipline), nor did he ever really hold his VP of Product Mgt (now gone) accountable for the first two years that CompuCom even had a product mgt team. There is zero data governance, no risk management, no recognition, and no written strategic plan in any department. This company is owned by an office supply products company; totally different business model and they do not get technology.
