Almost every job is a customer service job with no room for advancement. You can work hard, excel in your role, and get absolutely no recognition. Agents can treat staff pretty poorly - not all, but the ones that do can really make you dread going into the office every day. As others have said, you definitely need a thick skin to stick it out
