Pros
CHNw is a great place to work! The benefits are perhaps the best part. You have your choice of 401k options as in a traditional or Roth option. There is a great 6% match as well. PTO accrual is generous and grows over time. Insurance is great when covering medications, but is only average when covering testing like labs and imaging. There is an HSA option with contributions made by CHNw which is amazing! The CEO inspires you and makes you proud to work for CHNw. The network is very focused on patient care and making sure patients always come first.

While the network as a whole is a great place to work, you will undoubtedly find pockets within such a vast network that should be avoided at all costs. The outpatient cardiac clinic is one of those places to avoid. Micromanagement is a constant problem, ideas for improvement are discouraged and makes management suspicious of you, management regularly has others in the office spy on you, and it's extremely rare for anyone to stay for more than a year. There have been mass employee walkouts due to management and their leadership style. Management was placed in their position due to convenience and political connections which makes them very insecure when employees speak their opinions or have ideas for improvement. To alleviate this insecurity, they reject your ideas and micromanage you even more than before. Overtime is strictly enforced and even a few minutes over may result in management questioning your work ethic. The pay is awful and raises come yearly with an across the board 3% increase which gets wiped out by inflation and healthcare insurance increases. If given an offer of employment, request a couple days to review the offer and see it in writing. The only time you will be able to negotiate your salary is during this time. CHNw is a great network to work for, but you must be cautious when choosing where you go within CHNw. It could very well mean the difference between loving your job or it becoming a torturous, jading experience. Employees don't leave jobs; they leave managers.
