Reaktion von Checkout.com
4yDear colleague,
Thank you for all the ways you worked to build Checkout.com during your time here. I’m sorry to hear of your experience, and feel this doesn’t reflect who we are, or who we aspire to be. If you’d like to speak to us and hopefully give us the opportunity to discuss this further with you, our door is always open and you can message me directly. For now, there are a few elements of your review which we think are important to respond to:
If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught us, it’s that everyone has different needs and flexibility is paramount. We offer full-time remote work globally, meaning no one is required to return to any of our offices at this time. From the start of next year, we plan to take a hybrid approach, where team members can split their time between office and home working. Our flexible work approach gives our colleagues at Checkout.com even more choice to create the setup that works for them.
With so many new joiners starting every week, we invite newcomers, if they wish and fully anonymously, to leave us a review on Glassdoor about their interview experience, to help future candidates find out more about what to expect from the process. We never ask them to leave an employee experience review as a week is far too little time to get a proper sense for what life is like with us. When asking for any review, we request honest feedback which is most helpful for readers on Glassdoor and never request overtly positive ratings or comments.
As we grow, it’s natural for our policies and processes to adapt, but to be clear we do not and have never monitored private email and Slack conversations. Our dedicated People team (real, hard working people) are focussed on supporting our growing organisation, while keeping us compliant with local laws and protecting our people and our business.
We take your feedback regarding working hours, reward for voluntary work and company direction seriously. I’ll be circulating your comments with the relevant teams internally to help us continue to improve in these areas for our people.
Best,
Louis Jauvin
Head of People
