The original mission of the company seemed super amazing and promising.

Leadership doesn't care about their employees. The cofounders are only motivated by being bought/acquired by a larger company and don't take care of their employees or value any of them unless they're related to them. I've never been at a company that has this much nepotism. You'd think they would know that the cofounder being the manager of her husband would be a big no no but here we are. Last but not least, people related to or friends with the cofounders don't have to work as hard and get away with passing their work onto other people. And there is no HR, so nothing can be reported. Morale and retention could not be lower at this company.
