Pros
Most love job because hard work, tenacity and expertise actually makes a difference. Most people cannot say this. Plus working with a great team, albeit being a skeleton crew. Very unfortunate. Decent health benefits; come at a price. Convenient location. Free parking DT. Many Job openings. Pros are few and far between.
Kontras
No work life balance. Don't ask for org to work with you...no concessions here. Well that depends on who you are. NO raises. NO mention of any. EVER!! Wages aren't competitive! Stuck in the 80's with reimbursements: mileage ridiculous, accruals, sick time embarrassment. Bereavement a joke. 1/2 of other orgs. No upfront vacation. Very embarrassing 401K match. Brain drain=Dedicated workers = revolving door. One foot in , one foot out. Better opportunity comes along...gone. Org refuses to appreciate employees. Never a bonus. Never accolades/recognition. Much state funding pouring into coffers-employees won't see it. Share the wealth-foreign concept. It's a travesty due to the fact they have wonderful people. There's a solution to retaining loyal competent employees; its called; show appreciation and give compensation. Address what matters to workers. The only time management speaks to you is when you make an error. No kudos here! Don't expect any. It's currently a ghost town/skeleton crew. No trainings, learning is left to ones devices. OH and if you looking for 40hrs; don't apply here. 37.5. Lunch on you. Management walks around with blinders on. Don't tell don't ask environment. Public easily reads CEO has horrendous rep. To bad so sad.
