- The pay structure is not transparent. Salary is 100% commission, so if you don't sell anything you owe the company money. This is relatively hard to not do, put this pressure certainly increases unethical behaviors in selling, and it is rampant. - There is poor accountability in direct management of selling teams. Lack of consistent inventory results in employees having to bear the costs of inventory errors. For example, if you worked on a shift with 3 other associates and $400 of material was unaccounted for, $100 was taken from your paycheck, even if this inventory error had existed before you began working there.
