Pros

Employees at Cedar Ridge maintain a family like environment. The interaction with the residence and each other is remarkable.

Kontras

I was employed by Ridge Center for 30+ years when I decided to separate myself from my position there I ask the DO and and the administrator at the time what they needed as far as a notice for my job separation the DON at that time stated that she didn’t care if I only gave her one day The administrator said it didn’t matter to her that I would be paid for my vacation and sick time that I had already accrued however, in March when I left it is now July and I still have not been able to get my pay for my vacation time or sick time This is just another one of the inconsistencies that staff gets at the facility when they go to the management and ask for direction on how they would like to have something done. It seemed as though they kept wanting more and more from their staff, however, was unable to keep staff in the building , they would get their staffing up and instead of continuing to hire people they would stop and then the next thing you knew you were back down to no staffing again this wore out the management team and the staff and in March when I left, I could not physically do any more for them than I had already done They have been times when their staffing was very short and they would have to take management and other office people to fill in the gaps. It just got to the point where everyone was burn out with trying to do their job plus take care of the floor there was even one day that Yelled at by the administrator because I wasn’t at a meeting however, I was busy with the provider that was in the facility at that time and they did not want to accept that answer. They said he could take care of himself. It was a sad sad time when I decided to leave as I really thought that I would retire from my position there And I did not there are several others who have come and gone also and it’s all because of leadership and staffing. The leaders need to keep staffing up and keep staff in there and not just answer staff when they come through, but provide them with answers to questions that they really need , they also need to decide on one way of doing things and do it that way and instead of changing their mind every two or three days about how they wanna do something this used to be a great facility and a great place to work however at this time, I would not recommend or send any of my family members or friends there
