Pros

Brand name still carries some prestige, so finding another job in the games industry gets easier once you've put in 2-3 years for your resume; and there are a bunch of competitors nearby (Sony, Ubisoft, 2K, EA, etc). Also makes you an attractive hire for Japanese companies since they know it takes a special dose of patience to survive at a Japanese company.

Kontras

1) A fully Japanese company, culturally-speaking, despite all their claims to the contrary. Local (US staff) opinions are not respected much (except when Japan has no other choice), and that is one of the biggest reasons for Capcom's atrophy as a company over the last decade. 2) Management is grossly unprepared for the global market and gets stuck in management rhetoric. Instead of doing their own research they will chase whatever is big in the news, which is the exact opposite of what you need to do to get ahead in the Tech/Entertainment field. 3) Creatives (developers) are no longer taking creative chances (they've been conditioned by management not to). 4) Maintains profitability primarily through cost-cutting. Offices are understaffed and games are underfunded as a result, resulting in a perpetual vicious cycle of mediocre games, low revenues and further cost-cutting.
