Excellent training information for volunteers. Everything was well organized and presented. If you think you are interested in volunteering in the area of domestic violence, take advantage of the training. Keep in mind that you may not be used at all. However, you will gain valuable information on resources for victims. You may not think you know anyone who is a victim ~ but everyone does even if they are not yet aware.

This and other DV organizations receive grant money and part of that is through the number of people who take training to be a volunteer. Not everyone will have an opportunity to volunteer. The DV organizations use the more than plentiful college student who is required to have service hours. Hence this is why you will find multiple training sessions during the year. There are limited opportunities for individuals from the community to volunteer.
