Pros
It's a great place to start. The interview process is kind of a joke. If you know how to BS your way though an interview you'll be fine. This is despite the fact they claim that 1 in 11 gets hired. You'll make nothing your first year and a half. Then you'll be around 50k for a year and a half. After that the sky is the limit. You really get what you put in to it. The perks aren't bad - although they are deteriorating quickly. Health bennifets are becoming more expensive, spiffs are declining, and the days are getting longer...
Kontras
You can't make decent money until you've put in a good amount of work. Even then it's really 50/50. They have a CDW aristocracy. People who have been there for more then 5 years are treated differently than people who've come since Edwardson took over. Don't ever expect to be a part of the old boys club. Promotions are few and far between. Career development is very self driven. There is very little direction in the company. There are a lot of random metrics that don't really mean anything. It's getting really difficult to deal with the day to day BS that comes from upper management. When the sales managers don't believe in the activities they are asked to have their team complete - there is something wrong.
