If a person wishes to be a 1099 employee, where they work for the duration of a contract or effort, and then may or may not be picked up for additional work, this may be worthy of consideration.
Kontras
Seem to eat up companies, and spit out employees of those companies on the other side, leaving the impression they have more concern for sharholders and the bottom dollar then those who help generate that revenue. The benefits are close to non-existent, although this seems to be common place nowdays. Company sends out mandates with little explanation as to how to implement them, and with little or zero notice. Often do not understand the operational nuances of the markets which some of thier acquired companies operate in. Valued employees whom have had significant contributions to the Company's bottom line are laid off or forced to use vacation time immediately when in a lull or transition between projects/accounts. The most discouraging environment I have ever worked in.
