Pros

- Company events were okay, even if they were used as a bandaid to quiet the discontent. - The Partners are extremely approachable

Kontras

- High Turnover - 3 ransomware attacks in 10 years - Pay is not competitive and far below average. - No upward growth, only lateral movement without pay incentive. - Low/No Communication between departments - 6 VP-IT fired because of unrealistic expectations - PTO policy is laughable; you will anger HR if you use a lot of it. - No sick/personal time off: they expect you to plan for the worst and sit on your PTO. - Too many hands in the kitchen - HR wants a heavy hand in how IT is managed, leading to poor processes and practices. - Raise/Bonus is not guaranteed. - Heavy Office Politics - Every department at CASTO would turn their nose up at the IT department, and instead communicating whatever problems they had, they would go straight to the top and complain. - No WFH flexibility for IT Support Specialists - Impossible to prioritize tickets/tasks when you're told that everything is an emergency and has to be fixed immediately.

Pros

I enjoyed my time at CASTO. The benefits are great, upper management is great to work with, and the culture within company was inclusive.

Kontras

The future of CASTO appears to be a build and sell method rather than a build and manage. Not that it's a bad thing, but does make job opportunities appear unstable and force staff to jump around.
