Pros

PTO and health insurance benefits are on par with industry standards.

Kontras

Salaries are low, managers are pick me’s always looking to get in the good graces of company execs. Unfairness across the board with who works remote leading to some of the most senior staff having to go into the office while they hire for same positions remotely. Systems are outdated and they don’t give you the tools to do your job. Metrics are based on faulty reports from an outdated system. New system being promised for 7 years. Morale is low, appreciation for employees is non existent other than mandatory in office tent meetings in the rain. Commutation happens through the grape vine and you have to be in the club to know what’s actually going on. Needless positions with fancy titles created weekly and staffed and no one knows what the positions are for. Adjusters are asked to handle over 100 lost time industrial claims with no support.

Pros

Builders Mutual seemed like a generally decent company with good people. Overall, it may be a good fit for someone who prefers a stable, traditional corporate environment.

Kontras

The technology culture felt somewhat old-school and slow to modernize. The company appeared uneven in its adoption of newer tools like AI and automation, and the hybrid work policy created frustration because some employees were required to come into the office while others were allowed to remain fully remote. It may feel limiting for someone looking for a more modern, flexible, and technology-forward workplace.
