Pros
The company cares about the employees a lot and verbalizes how much they care and appreciate the staff often! You get a sense from leadership all the way down to managers that they do care about you and are willing to work with whatever needs you might have. Good career advancement opportunities as well! There’s respect, some fun, and lots of pats on the back. The office in Charlotte is also very clean and modern. I like that the company size is still small, about 1,200 people.
Kontras
The majority of the staff, probably 60 - 75% came from MetLife and you can tell there are still some big corporate mindsets being held onto. I’ve seen a bit of this in relationship building, owning projects, partnering across the org - it can be a bit of “I’ll get credit for doing this” mentality instead of “we’re doing this together as a team because we’re in it together, regardless of credit” mentality. Also, as I expect in most corporate settings, you can tell how close people are willing to get, and people are friendly and enjoy each other but there is a personal line people seem not to cross.
