I have genuinely never experienced the level of disrespect that I did from HR during onboarding. I was made an offer of employment and told I had 48 business hours to complete the forms and drug test. When I signed on to complete the forms most of them had due dates near my starting date, around four weeks away. Despite this I received constant texts to complete them now to the point I began to get concerned it was a scam for personal info.
The drug test was even worse. I work as a first responder doing 12 hour shifts, time away from work can be difficult. I had to schedule the drug test within 48 hours. I was able to get another employee, coming off a 12 hour shift to stay an extra 2 hours for me which is a signifcant ask. The test place was running 45 minutes behind so I had to leave. I contacted the HR individual, received no response. I attempted to go back the next day
