Pros
No accountability. There has been a hiring freeze in place since late 2008. Managers not only can't hire for new positions, they can't replace those that leave. Because of this, over time, the inmates now run the asylum and management will do anything (or nothing) to risk losing an employee, even the poorly performing ones.
Kontras
There are no benefits or growth opportunities to speak of. They have done away with all raises and the 401(k) match, there is no opportunity for personal or professional development, and there are no internal promotion possibilities to speak of. When asked in a 'town hall' setting the CEO said that ResCare is not suspending raises or on a hiring freeze, but rather those attributes represent business as usual going forward.
