Pros
What isn't there I can say about BLS? I have sees many facets of the company. Most everyone is willing to help. There is a lot of respect among colleagues and meaningful effort is expected. If you are looking for just a "job" this isn't your place. The people are kind and hard working. The benefits are great and in my many connections with upper management, I know they truly care about every single employee. Management is very generous and giving, as reasonable as it can be expected. As the company grows, the ability to be so generous becomes more difficult, but there is still much effort that goes into making working for BLS a very pleasant experience. Most of all, the schedules are accommodating for when life "just happens." It shows that BLS definitely values those who can be responsible with their time and talent. If you are willing to put forth the effort, you have lots of opportunity. If you are a good worker and valuable in various roles, BLS will find a good match for you where you can perform well.

As with any company, only a few individuals seem to do most of the complaining. There are also some who take advantage of the system and abuse some of the extra benefits provided. I have worked for difficult employers before, and this is not one of them. There are also those who don't value work that is being done by good employees, which can be frustrating. However, those individuals are the ones who don't take their work seriously, which in turn affects the rest. Still, these employees are few and far between. Not everyone is appreciative of the great efforts that admin and management put forth. Other than this, there are only the typical workplace frustrations in which better planning by one or two could make life less difficult than it needs to be. The company is growing and it is necessary to keep up with changing standards not only with corporate but with the healthcare industry too. It is just the nature of the line of business. There are always a few that aren't on board.
