Pros

1. Management respects your work-life balance and does not intrude on your personal time. They support employees during family emergencies and ensure that vacations are truly a time to disconnect and relax. This is applied to all employees. 2. The company acknowledges that emergencies can arise unexpectedly and is understanding when you need to take time off at short notice. 3. Hard work is recognized and rewarded, reflecting the company's commitment to acknowledging employee contributions. 4. Discussions with managers regarding appraisals and promotions are clear and straightforward. You can openly communicate your expectations, and they will transparently share theirs.

Kontras

There are no major cons, but I have some thoughts on BMC's hybrid setup. Personally, I prefer working from home, where I can collaborate with stakeholders over virtual lunches and coffees, rather than spending 3 hours commuting and another 1-2 hours preparing for the office. However, this isn’t really a con because BMC offers the flexibility to work from home when necessary. Whether it’s due to feeling unwell, bad weather, or a vehicle breakdown, I can always opt for remote work on those days.

They hardly ever fire anyone.

They hardly ever fire anyone. Comp plan is terrible. You get paid on Opportunities sources but there isn't any criteria written down on what makes a discovery call turn into an opportunity. Leading them to cherry-pick deals and choose if you get paid or not. They don't have product market fit. The entire new logo space didn't close anything last year. Getting placed in a good, high paying seat is all dependent upon nepotism. No clear path for growth. Constantly moving the goal post and changing promotion criteria. The promotion path leads you to a role that has historically not closed a deal and the role is a huge pay cut for some BDR's leading to high churn or career BDR's.
