* Lots of politics and managing upwards. Careers, ratings and promotions are decided based on who is your "sponsor" and your "visibility" as opposed to your competence, capability or performance * No work / life balance. Not because there is any work (actually there isn't any) but because you are expected to stay long hours to create your visibility * Lots of incompetent and ego driven senior managers * Lack of ethical standards in quite a few businesses * Tobacco industry * Stagnant culture in the recent years with lots of good people leaving the organisation
