Better not ever want to sit down.. Absolutely not one chair in the entire store. Try that and work 10-12 hour days. Expects managers to flip hours and work a late shift with no valid, productive rationale. One would think a manager should be there during the day shift when businesses are open, contacts can be made, not in the late evening. Illogical. No flexibility. No real-world logic. Ol' Tim is making everyone jump through hoops because corporate and HR want to follow every silly rule to the letter of the law. If some of the things upset them that are meaningless, I hate to see them with something important, constructive. Do not plan on having a family life. I would bet most of corporate are Republicans with good ole' family values, something they eschew but don't wish for others-when it comes to money. One day off here, one there. Never a Saturday unless you want to work 5 days in a row of 10-12 hour days. No life. Trust me-on his death bed(and you will die someday) Bill Rhodes won't be saying "Gee, I wish I had worked more!!". Well, neither do your employees. They are not slaves nor should they be thrilled to have a job, any job like crumbs to the poor, When will corporate America understand that in building morale, a good job environment, fair wages and hours and a true caring about it's employees, the employee would return wholeheartedly his work, his effort and his dedication to a company. Take for example Sargento- many of it's employees won the Lotto. Did they leave. No, they love their job and stayed even though they are worth millions. Could Bill say that about his employees?
