Salary improved, those who were miserable, stayed miserable and seem to feast on trying to bring others down. There is a culture against firing, but there are MANY who should go. A few years ago, there was an executive tour and everyone was told, "if you aren't happy, leave," but no one did. Solid good old boys club, not bad work if you can get it, but unless you have serious * kissing skills or family connections, it's not likely.
