Pros
It used to be a company that really cared about its clients. The teams in Atlanta and Tucson were great to work with. Everyone worked hard and pulled their weight. I have never worked with a better group of people. I felt great about helping people with disabilities get better access to digital content.
Kontras
New management came in last year and changed the entire direction of the company from a focus on making sure each site was accessible to only providing services for those getting sued (!). Then they started laying off employees all over the place - it seems mostly to get rid of the older employees so they can hire cheaper, less experienced ones. Motivation and morale are eroding and there is definitely a culture of fear going on. There's secrecy about the motivations and mission of the company. Managers are afraid to speak up because they are afraid they will get the ax if they don't tow the line and people are there one day and gone the next without any explanation. I would NOT recommend accepting a job here no matter how wonderful they make it sound. There are better ways to help people with disabilities.
