Pros

AB has been a great place to work for IT, however no one has a handle on how this is going to be now that Inbev has taken over. Already they have laid off 1000 people and offered early retirement to many. Initially it looks like Inbev does not value IT as much as the old AB. Certainly they have a large piece of debt to pay off and must eliminate lots of 'comforts' and there is a difference between essential IT and IT used to make life easier and more efficient.

Lots of change and uncertaintly right now within the company. This will certainly change as time goes on however, it is my perception that there will be additional cuts within IT. Currently IT at AB is 2% of overall profit and it has been stated that is too much. In 5 years there will be a lot less IT to develope and support. Certainly these are some things that make a lot of sense to the company and from a business stand point given the amount of debt AB Inbev has to pay off, however this does make things uncomfortable for the little guy and worker bee.

Free beer and decent salary

They have completely expunged meritocracy from their culture and replaced it with DEI. Anyone who is reading this, I would highly encourage you to read Anson Frericks book “The Last Call for Bud Light.” From diversity dashboards to racist rhetoric, it is a toxic culture from top to bottom. Management pretends like they want feedback and then does nothing when they receive it. Stay away.
