Pros

I am in awe of some of the reviews that have been written about this company. I have worked at Addison Group for a few years and have seen the changes made in order to transform as the world does too. I reflect on the growth I have experienced since I started with the company, both professional and personal, and I cherish those around me for giving me space to make mistakes, work through them, and ultimately come out on the other side as a stronger individual. I have seen many people come and go, and one thing I see in common with the people that leave is the expectation of perfection, and non-flexibility to give people / organizations grace and effort while they focus on building something for the better. These people are mostly standing on the sidelines secretly casting stones, and writing about it later behind a screen. There was a review in here about racism – I will be very blunt in saying that I have watched this company invest millions (plural) of dollars into creating an interview program / process that teaches internal hiring managers and team members about unconscious bias, and how to dissolve that major flaw in hiring, and in general. Hundreds of employees were flown to our major offices to participate in this program even Before recent current events exploded throughout the media. I see our campus recruiting taking measures and partnering with universities to ensure we are getting a diverse candidate set, I see our C suite hiring a new VP of Diversity and Inclusion, so that we can grow at the rate of society and beyond in getting better as an organization. I see our CEO sending weekly updates, inviting us to listen to the Addison Group podcast where there is a direct focus in Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion—addressing racial injustice directly. I see managers and team members openly talking about BLM/BIPOCLM, protesting, joining webinars, trainings, engaging and leaning into making this organization better. I also see the other side—I watch employees show up, demand perfection, even if they themselves are not open to change and growing to become a better team member, employee, and person. Those who do not award flexibility, and the effort to contribute to make a better tomorrow are usually the ones who leave and write hasty reviews. Take everything with a grain of salt, Glassdoor Review Readers. The best we can all do is demand that we are better people today than we were in previous days—and THAT is what makes an organization, and THOSE are the type of people that stay.

Kontras

Like most organizations going through 2020, we are building the plane as we fly it.

At times, resources are allocated toward initiatives and technology that don't consistently translate into measurable value for client-facing producers.

Pros

I've had a positive experience working at Addison Group. The people are genuinely supportive, and the collaborative culture is one of the biggest reasons I've stayed. Leadership encourages teamwork, celebrates wins, and provides opportunities for professional growth.

Kontras

Recruiting can be unpredictable, so some roles and markets are more challenging than others.
