Pros

Getting paid for 40 hours a week regardless if you work. 16 days off even for first year employee's.

Kontras

Company seems to have a glass ceiling in terms of pay for their field engineers. On calls can be brutal and there is demands that you are always available even when you're not on call. This company does not care if you have a family or if you have children. You are expected to be available for work. I have been doing this as a working father and it has put a ton of strain on my wife. I am now looking for new jobs to move to that will be more family friendly.

Pros

At the time there was the ability to be remote. That's no longer the case.

Kontras

I worked for 5 years in the VISE team where we provided support for Cisco UCS. We were paid abyssmally for what we were doing and raises were pathetic (talking about a company that have me a 'raise' to 19.99 an hour and couldn't even round up a penny) but the perk of being remote most the week was nice. Eventually the company got a new contract so they decided to push Cisco away which ended with our entire team being laid off after we trained our overseas replacements (and in hindsight realizing the company knew of all this at least 6 months before it happened given where our department was moved to as the new contract got moved into the noc) except a handful of people who were the managers favorites getting moved to another department. Such as a person who was in the department for only a year being moved while far more senior and experienced people were laid off. Honestly being laid off was the best thing for me though as I was too comfortable to look elsewhere and I've since moved to a much better paying job that also is giving me much more meaningful skills and I no longer need to deal with a micromanaging upper manager. From what I've been told from people still there the company has gone even further down hill.
