- Everything is data driven (you'll never put in work on something that doesn't help meet a measurable goal) - Sincere solicitation of feedback ("feedback is a gift" is a mantra at AF, and it helps each person feel valued) - Intentional, well-planned support is incredible - The kids!
Kontras
- Until year 2 or 3, the workload (to meet expectations and what the scholars deserve) will run at least 60 hours/week (not including breaks) --> Unless those 60 hours are worked efficiently, don't plan to spend work/effort to excel in extracurricular interests (electives, afterschool, special events) - Hard sometimes not to take poor classroom management personally
