Pros
Absorb is hands down the best company I've worked for! Being here for 2 years now has honestly changed my outlook on work. The hiring and onboarding process was seamless. Having spent several years in various industries and dynamic organisations where there is a vast amount of politics, drama and micromanagement, Absorb is the polar opposite in this regard. They treat you with respect, instill empowerment and hold utmost trust in their staff. The CEO is fantastic and I admire her leadership style; she truly cares about her employees, welcomes creativity and leads by example. More importantly, there are no airs and graces about her, she is very down to earth. The C-Suite team appointed in the past 2 years have really turned things around from a culture, structure and efficiency point of view! Key pros -Company is growing at a rapid rate in the industry so the opportunities are endless if you work hard and get things done! -They provide regular communication and keep employees abreast of relevant updates including financials, key initiatives and new features -Culture is conducive to creating strong relationships with intelligent people and mentors with many opportunities to get involved based on your interests and skills -You get to work with top thought leaders in the industry - smart, collaborative and willing to share. They give you the opportunity for lateral and upward career development if you are willing to roll up your sleeves and work hard (you typically don't get this exposure at other orgs!) -Our clients are wonderful including reputable brands - we are doing incredible things that impact the way learning is delivered across the globe -High degree of authentic transparency
Kontras
Anywhere you go, you will have challenges. Due to the exponential growth we're going through - there are often growing pains and a tendency to be reactive, which is to be expected at times given the intricacies of SaaS. However, I can't imagine any Company handling the challenges in B2B SaaS this year any better than Absorb - we just have to weather the storm and keep our foot on the pedal! -There tends to be an expanded focus on the development of net-new product features and enhancements when we have some work to do with existing functionality. Evidently, the product needs to progress and evolve to remain competitive, but we need to address what is problematic and/or malfunctioning in order to provide the best service to our customer base -Get ready to sink or swim! Things move quickly and can change directions quickly - there is never a dull moment which actually makes it challenging (so I suppose this partially a pro too?)
