Christmas bonus ... Given to you on Christmas Eve at the end of the day making it difficult to make for a great Christmas for your family but you get a "Christmas" bonus

Where do I begin? ... You will be paid about 30% below industry and be sure to try and negotiate a decent rate because you will be stuck with it for years. That brings me to my next con - no reviews, and therefore no raises. The only way you will get a pay increase so you can make a living and feed your family is to find a job somewhere else. There's no project management but for some asinine reason the sales guys are in charge of project planning which never goes well and technicians get the blame for it by the customer AND the salesman. There's no training at all - you are instructed to call the Lead Technician if you need help who is also crawling and pulling wire while assisting you. The Lead Tech pretty much your only ally if you haven't quit already. There is a company vehicle if you're lucky but over time it turns into a death trap because the company will not do anything for maintenance or repair until the wheels literally fall off. One tech got a ticket for a cracked windshield on the company vehicle that the company never bothered to repair after reporting it several times AND he had to pay the ticket with his own hard earned money.

The constant growth of the company and product line keeps you on your toes. This fast paced career is for the elite technicians that want to learn something new every day.

Kontras

It’s a tough position, and it’s not for everyone. You have to be willing to take on any job any panel at anytime no matter what. You have to be able to face the unknown and conquer it.

Pros

This company is on the bleeding edge of technology. As a 20 plus year veteran of the industry, I can say that ASAP explores and uses the full capabilities of the products. The environment is fast-paced, but training is not only available, it is encouraged. I read another review from here about a "current employee" that seemed to be coming from a fairly disgruntled point of view, but I have found that the CEO and Ops Managers are very open to helping with issues, as long as you have the guts to actually go in and speak honestly and constructively about what is frustrating you. Nobody is in business to pay people just to show up, but if you are putting in an effort and take ownership of your work, this is a great company to work for. The major paid holidays are there, there is vacation and 401k, and the company vehicles are well above standard.

This company is growing, and with it comes some adjustments. Although not a "con" per se, it does present a challenge as procedures and standards are developed.
