Pros

The company is fully remote and gives the indiviual a lot of freedom from where they want to work at and when they want to work. There is a development opportunity in many directions. Suggestions are taken serious and the Hirachie is flat.

Kontras

Processes are sometimes a little slow and the feelin of togetherness is sometimes missing due to being fully remote.

Hello, thank you very much for your evaluation. I am pleased about your average rating of 4 stars. Your rating of "culture & values" with 1 star is hard for me to read, as is the statement "the feeling of togetherness is sometimes missing". This is certainly the toll we have to pay for our great personal freedoms and individual liberties. Nevertheless, we are not satisfied with this. We want to and will become better in the area of "culture and values". A small start is our monthly Townhall Meeting. Certainly, our new system of staff conversations will also improve the overall situation in terms of our culture and values. There are many ideas for improvement, also from our employees. We will implement the ideas step by step. Feel free to get involved so that we can set the right priorities. Thank you for your honesty and your contribution to the development of our culture. Zusammenarbeit mit und Lernen von einem weltweiten Team talentierter Personen. Aufstrebendes Unternehmen mit beruflichen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten. Interessanter und vielfältiger Kundenstamm. Manager, die auf Feedback und Ideen hören. Freiheit zu leben und zu arbeiten, wo immer Sie wollen. Kernarbeitszeiten für alle, die online sein müssen, aber darüber hinaus können Sie Ihre eigene Zeit verwalten.

Aufgrund seines schnellen Wachstums scheint das Unternehmen noch keine interne Kultur oder Werte etabliert zu haben (dies kann auch als Chance gesehen werden!). Das britische Team kann sich ein wenig vom Rest des Unternehmens getrennt fühlen. Die Unternehmenssprache wurde offiziell auf Englisch geändert, neue Materialien werden jedoch normalerweise auf Deutsch geliefert, was die Prozesse verzögert (verständlich, während sich die Menschen auf die Änderung einstellen).

Dear colleague, First of all, thank you for the many detailed comments and opinions. It is clear that a lot of work and energy has gone into this. I believe that we truly have a culture and values. And I personally stand behind the culture and values that we live every single day. For me, one reason to work at AMZSCALE is precisely this culture and these values, in particular: the free choice of workplace and working hours; the opportunity to combine distant countries with work; the always-open, virtual door of our executives; sharing knowledge with and learning from each other, in order to achieve success together; the passion for innovation and constant improvement, and much more. What's missing — and I can understand this — is personal, non-technical contact and dialogue. Sometimes we would love the opportunity for small talk around the coffee machine in a large office building. However, it's difficult to combine freedom to travel with a staff kitchen. Nevertheless, that shouldn't stop us from improving the culture of togetherness. This is a huge opportunity with great potential, because, as Peter Drucker put it, “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. For this, we need to leverage the energy of our dynamic team. I really appreciate that you have raised these points, and also your ideas for strengthening togetherness. The fact that the still small but very agile British team feels a little disconnected must change, and I'll give this some thought. I also believed the switch to English as the corporate language would be easier. We will need a little more patience, even if it is somewhat irritating for our British colleagues. We are currently having many documents from our knowledge base (and more) translated into English by a native speaker. It takes time, but we have made a good start. Culture and values have to be established, lived and balanced. We will work on it together, and improve step by step. Best regards and thanks again, Christoph
