Pros

The main people you work with can be amazing. Your direct leadership could be some of your best friends. The people i worked with on a daily basis are like family. Direct supervisors are amazing.

Kontras

Pay– you have to work a crazy amount of OT just to make a liveable wage. Culture– culture can be great but also bad because it's just everyone complaining about the same person or thing. There is nothing about the office that makes it feel inviting. Time off Benefits– very basic Career opportunities– No room to grow unless you want to relocate to another city. Waiting for someone to leave, quit or get fired doesn't do anything since they will just consolidate their jobs and give their duties to others instead of hiring a replacement. Upper management– You never hear or see them unless it's them coming in to tell everyone that they're losing their jobs in a few weeks. Was here for over 5 years and never saw upper management.

Pros

There’s a good workforce here with employees who are well united on issues a strong sense that the company is actually pushing toward a positive future in terms of operations. Ambulance fleet seems to be getting good upgrades and call volume (in most areas) is manageable. There is also a good amount of OT available with bonuses/incentives available. Matching 401k is nice and health benefits are very reasonable.

Kontras

For being such a large operation, the pay rate seems to be lacking as of right now. Most employees with adult responsibilities are having to rely heavily on overtime/incentives just to have a semi-comfortable lifestyle outside of work. Uniforms definitely need improvements and training for new EMTs seems a bit lackluster. The morale can be low at times also due to the company being write-up happy (for lack of a better term). Lack of 24 hour units and proper posting locations makes for a somewhat harsh work day as well.
