Pros

Interesting product with real impact in medical education Company with a lots of money

Even though the company loudly say that they prioritize employee well being, my personal experience differs. I was dismissed shortly after long sick leave due to "operational reasons". At the same time, I wasn't offered appropirate compensation and had to involve lawyers and a labor court to reach a fair resolution. This was unexpected and deeply destabilizing, especially given the health context. I would expect better from the company that's educating future medical professionals. Otherwise from my personal experience: - Management culture prioritizes “emotional labor” over technical work. Engineers are expected to absorb frustration from others instead of enforcing clear ownership and standards - Unclear role expectations. While the role is framed as engineering, the reality involves extensive hand-holding and basic troubleshooting for others, even when issues are well-documented and easily investigated by the requester - Promotion criteria are vague and subjective. Performance reviews can be positive overall, yet advancement is blocked based on loosely defined “soft” expectations that are not consistently applied - Company politics matter more than the actual job done

Pros

Fun workplace. Travel to different office locations. Fun colleagues. Solid PTO. Office parties, and lots of food and booze!

Kontras

Pay! Seriously way underpaid. Also, no bonuses, or equity. Didn’t check your email over the weekend to respond to a client? Slap on the wrist. (Want me to check my emails on a weekend? Pay me more.) No possibility to move up in most roles, unless you’re in engineering or product development. This place is a revolving door. People quit or get fired all the time. I’ve stopped learning new employee’s names. Management here is as diverse as my taste in wines. White and cold.
