Pros

The company has a wide variety of jobs and decent benefits. They are flexible, have great vacation package, and they like to promote from within. Its fulfilling, good experience and challenging.

Kontras

High stress environment, interdepartmental communication lacks, its hard to balance work and and personal and even though there are women in high positions the company tends to pay men higher for the same position and promote men quicker.

Thank you for your review. I am glad that you find thee work fulfilling and the experience good and challenging. however, I am concerned about your comment regarding what you feel is a pay disparity between men and women. I can assure you that this is not the case. We take great care to ensure that all employees are paid based on their seniority and performance without regard to gender. I encourage you to speak with a member of our Human Resources team if you have specific concerns and we will promptly look into it and correct and inconsistencies. Thank you again and we appreciate all you do to make ADAPT a great place to work.

Pros

Great hours, vacations, and holidays off. Union company.

Kontras

Management often demonstrates a lack of respect toward staff and appears to prioritize their own interests rather than supporting teachers, therapists, assistants, and other employees. Many staff members feel that if management has a personal issue with them, their concerns are dismissed regardless of their years of dedication, experience, and contributions to the organization. There is a perception that the organization operates differently when external agencies such as the Department of Health (DOH) or Department of Education (DOE) conduct audits or visits. During these times, efforts are made to present a positive image, while day-to-day concerns raised by staff may go unaddressed. Management would benefit from additional training in leadership, communication, and employee relations. Rather than discussing concerns about staff behind their backs, supervisors should address issues directly, professionally, and respectfully. Open and honest communication fosters trust, teamwork, and a healthier work environment. Staff should feel valued for their experience, dedication, and hard work. Employees who have invested years of service deserve fair compensation, recognition, and support. When staff feel respected and appreciated, they are more likely to remain committed to the organization and contribute positively to its success.
