First round informal and conversational with Head of and Regional Head. Second round with same decision makers, revisiting CV and targeted questions on experience. Very positive feedback from both rounds, rem expectations made clear at outset with HR, who confirmed within budget. Radio silence for over two months. Finally contacted by HR, indicating they were completing interviews with other candidates, but interested in progressing and would chase decision makers. I knew that couldn't be the case as the job was removed from channels months ago. 2 weeks after being contacted by HR, job was re-advertised! Subsequently emailed all concerned (including decision makers) indicating the withdrawal of my application, and no longer being interested in the position. Overall a very long, drawn-out and dishonest process.
